GBJ Unteroffizier Rauscher fought in France, Greece, Kreta, Norway and Russia. He was awarded Iron Cross 2nd class and GAB among other awards.

Rauscher was burried on the war-cemetery of Charkow. Block 12, Reihe 34, Grab 6023.
